Jordan Hanano

Jordan Hanano

My name is Jordan Hanano, born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. I came to HPA as a freshman to continue the long line of Hananos that have attended HPA. Besides sports and academics, my passion is fashion. Growing up with severe eczema I used fashion as my way to hide my eczema and distract myself and others from my skin. My grandma has been sewing since long before I was born. When I told her I wanted a sewing machine she couldn’t have given me one of her 10 machines any faster. Growing up with artistic grandparents I was always immersed in art. From sitting at the sewing table with my tutu Linda or building a canoe with my tutu ski or my little papa being the handiest man. Having this love for clothes and looking up to such creative people it was a no brainer that I would love sewing and incorporate it into my capstone.
