Aithne Wolfenberger

My name is Aithne Wolfenberger and I am a senior at HPA. For my capstone I’m trying to create either an app that allows people to put in their eye prescription so that the screen on their phone/computer can change to their prescription. With this, people who need to wear glasses while looking at their screen would no longer need them and would also no longer have the lingering effects of wearing glasses for too long.

Abstract

To go into detail for my project, I have created a website that explains how I hope my initial project will work and turn out. Not only does the website include my future project, it also includes information for people who would be interested in my project. The information that is given in about what different sights people have, what are the indications of sight loss and instructions for a way to fix the size of your screen and keyboard for now. I hope to continue to use this website in the future if I am able to complete my app so that I can add more about the app and how to work it.

The main part of my project are my instructions of how to use Zoom in the IOS settings. This feature is almost what I hope for my app. I was able to create images and videos that explain the different settings for the feature and how to turn it on. Although there aren’t many settings for the feature, the ones included are very useful for those who need their screen to be bigger while typing or reading. The only downside to this is that there isn’t an option that allows users to include their prescriptions but I hope to fix this.
