Hello! My name is Chloe Delos Santos and I was born and raised in the beautiful yet crisp Waimea, Hawaii. My family consists of my structured military father, Edward, my bubbly cosmetologist mother, Lisa, and my wild 10-year old sister, Zoe. I got the privilege of naming my sister, and what six-year-old would pass up the opportunity to rhyme her name with her sister’s? I have been attending HPA for about 13 years now. HPA has been a place that reflects my accomplishments and my downfalls. Nonetheless, HPA has been there to help me grow as an individual. A few passions of mine are cooking, pilates/yoga, and dancing(hula and other forms of dance). I have danced hula since I was about five years old. Although I don’t currently dance, hula will always have a special place in my heart. There was much more to hula than what meets the eye. The work behind what is seen on stage is incredibly eye-opening. Through hula, I learned a sense of community, discipline, detail, structure, respect, humility, and humbleness. I’m beyond grateful for what my hula hālau has taught me and will continue to apply these core values to everyday life! With those core values in mind, I find that these values are found within the medical field, which is where I intend to take my career path. In correlation with my career intentions and my capstone project, I want to make an impact. Such as an impact on someone’s life or one’s community or the environment.
